Apply now to serve as an artist-in-residence with NASA’s and the University of Maryland’s Geophysical Exploration of the Dynamics and Evolution of the Solar System (GEODES) team. On March 1, 2023, Chair of the National Endowment for the Arts Dr. Maria Rosario Jackson welcomed participants at the Creative Placemaking Symposium: Art and Design as Civic Action. The symposium was in celebration of the University of Maryland’s new Creative Placemaking Minor and explored how the fields of art and design can be leveraged in the service of social justice, democracy, and equitable communities. 2023 Emerging Creative Student Summit Call for Nominations
The University of Maryland, as a founding member of the Alliance for the Arts in Research Universities (a2ru), will be taking part in the 2023 Emerging Creatives Student Summit, “The Future: By Design,” which will be held March 2–5, 2023 at the University of Cincinnati.
