Call for Performers: UMD Farmers Market

Apply now to perform live at the University of Maryland Farmers Market this fall! Held each Wednesday from September 2–November 18, this is an opportunity for student solo music performances, small groups, clubs and ensembles.

Call for Artwork: Another Look, Another World

This interdisciplinary exhibition, funded from an Arts for All ArtsAMP Grant, explores how visual art can deepen our understanding of Maryland’s insect biodiversity and inspire greater appreciation for the ecological roles insects play in our environment. Submit visual artwork inspired by or related to insects for the chance to be featured in this exhibition! Apply by October 2.

Amplify your work with our support.

Grants Silhouetted visitors move through a darkened immersive PACE Project installation featuring five large-scale projections displaying abstract imagery including vibrant false-color patterns, geological formations, and cosmic scenes with planets. The multi-channel video environment creates an enveloping sensory experience. The ambitious digital art installation demonstrates sophisticated projection mapping and environmental storytelling through moving image.

Fellowships
A first-place Sadat Art award-winning painting from March 13, 2025 depicts an industrial waterfront scene in rich blues, browns, and golds with architectural elements, structural beams, and ghostly human figures. The textured mixed-media work combines abstract and representational elements to evoke labor and maritime industry. The complex composition layers geometric structures with atmospheric depth and subtle figuration.
