The “Machines and Me” film screening series aims to build a network of artists, filmmakers, students, scholars and community members to collaboratively examine how machines and our sense of self are mutually constitutive in an age of big data, networked media and artificial intelligence.

Featuring timeless standards in the repertoire, the Fall 2024 Terrapin Brass recital, "Just the Classics," will be an exciting dive into the world of brass quintet music for new and experienced listeners alike.

Some of the School of Music’s finest bands come together for a crowd-pleasing extravaganza. Featuring the University Band, the Maryland Community Band and the grand finale: the Mighty Sound of Maryland Marching Band! It’s an upbeat, lively show that is fun for the entire family.

UMD Choral Activities rings in the holidays with its Festival of Lessons and Carols, a tradition now in its 23rd year. Choirs, brass quintet and organ combine to perform carols, hymns and spoken word that epitomize hope and bring the joy of the season to life.
