The One Thousand and One Nights are a series of fables within a singular overarching fable, that of the royal bride Scheherazade's gambit for survival by spinning scores of tales to keep her cruel Bluebeard of a husband at bay.

The story of Anansi and his trickster family is put into a sleek hip hop context for Hip Hop Anansi, a modern, all-ages adaptation of a traditional Ashanti folktale.
