Born in Jamaica W.I. I came to the U.S. in my late teens to attend college. I attended Hunter's College in NYC briefly before transferring to Andrews University in Michigan where I completed a BA in Biology with Chemistry and Mathematics as minors.
I completed my medical degree at Howard University where I joined the faculty after graduation before accepting a job at the now Walter Reed Hospital where I have worked for the past 32 years.
I have been on the George Washington Medical Faculty since 2001.
I studied voice in college at Andrews University for 4 years and I have consistently sung in choirs since my early teens. I was a member of the University of Maryland chorus for about 25 years. First under the directorship of Paul Traver and then under Edward Maclary.
My hobbies include singing, tennis, soccer, playing the piano, walking in the woods and writing.
