Evie Atom Atkinson is a doctoral candidate in trans poetics and Oulipian constraints at the University of Utah. She has has directed lifelong learning programs in creative writing at Chautauqua Institution and Catapult, as well as taught poetry, hybrid genres, film, and gender studies at Interlochen Arts Academy, the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth, the University of Split in Croatia, the University of Utah, and Louisiana State University, among others. Her own writing has been featured in Black Warrior Review, Don't Write Alone, the Academy of American Poets' Poem-a-Day, and elsewhere—and her writing and research has been supported by a Fulbright scholarship to Croatia, a Critical Language Scholarship to South Korea, the Ventspils International Writers' and Translators' House in Latvia, the Saltstonstall residency for New York State writers, and others.
