Aída Esmeralda (she/they) is a queer Salvi poet and interdisciplinary artist living in Virginia. Her writing practice grapples with the legacy of war and U.S. interventionism in Central America, family and cultural memory, medicine and health, dislocation and displacement, fractured ecosystems and landscapes, and language and "official" documentation.
