Join Sehba Wani ’24, information science, and Caroline Dinh ’24, immersive media design, recipients of an ArtsAMP Collaborative Student MicroGrant for, "ALG-0-WEEN" on Saturday, November 2 at Rhizome DC. The night pays homage to D.C.’s livecoding scene, “a subculture of live electronic music performances improvised with code.” Halloween costumes are encouraged!
The night kicks off with the Dawn of the Livecoding Dead Workshop about creating improvised music and video performances using the free, open-source web tools Hydra and Strudel at 4 p.m. Bring a laptop and headphones! The workshop is free to attend. Next up is the Night of the Livecoding Dead Show featuring professional livecode musicians in performance, as well as a display of interactive installations. Tickets are required to attend the show.
