Arts Majors & Minors

Find the arts program that speaks to you.

Engaging curriculum for an arts-informed university.

At the University of Maryland, you have countless opportunities to incorporate the arts into your studies. The university offers a range of majors, minors and programs from departments and schools across campus.

Since its launch in 2021, Arts for All has partnered with areas across campus to launch and assist in creating new arts curricula that reimagine learning and cultivate interdisciplinary, arts-informed academic programs. In addition to ongoing support for cross-disciplinary classes and innovative new teaching methods, Arts for All has collaborated to strengthen and grow arts majors and minors, including the Immersive Media Design major (College of Arts and Humanities and College of Computer, Mathematical, and Natural Sciences), the Creative Placemaking minor (School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation and College of Arts and Humanities) and the Arts Leadership minor (College of Arts and Humanities).
