She has written and edited for The Atlantic, The New Yorker, and The New York Times Magazine. Her debut novel, The Immortal King Rao, was a finalist for the 2023 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction.

This event is sponsored by UMD Arts for All and The Studio for Literary Technology. The Studio for Literary Technology is a newly-launched dynamic entity within the English Department dedicated to events and encounters that help students and faculty explore Large Language Models, artificial intelligence, and computational narrative systems in this new era of literary technologies that are rapidly disrupting and recalibrating how fields like English and the humanities understand writing, literature, and authorial creativity.
